Skilled independent migration visa: It is a permanent visa which gives permanent settlement in Australia. This visa is point tested. There are a lot of factors considered in this visa as age, qualification, English language ability, work experience, health, character, Australian work experience, Australian qualification, occupation in demand, job offer, partner skill, relative in Australia, location, community language, regional Australian study, etc. This visa allows the applicant and his family to enter, live, work and settle in Australia, sponsor your family and other family members, receive health benefit like Medicare, etc. Validity of this visa is five year. After that you can apply for Resident Return Visa or citizenship there. It depends upon the applicant.

Skilled sponsor (provisional) visa: It is also known as Temporary visa. It is three year visa. In three year, you and your family shall live 2 year in a particular or designated area including one year working. After completion of 2 year living period including one year working condition, applicant and his family can apply for permanent residence.

Point test pass mark for this visa is 100. This visa requires nomination from state/territory govt. agency or sponsorship from your eligible relative living in a designated area of Australia. Like PR, other basic requirements for this are same as age, English, experience, character, health, etc. 

Student visa: There are different assessment levels for this visa. But many things are common to all students. Before you applying this visa, you will need full time offer letter from Australian institute for study. After that you will need to show funds usually your living, traveling, studying expenses, etc. Funds requirements are depend upon your course and your course duration. After getting student visa, you shall study full time in Australian institute as well as can work 20 hour a week. During vocations, you can work full time.

After successfully completion of your minimum 2 year study, you are eligible for Permanent Residence. PR criteria are same as mentioned above like age, education qualification, English language requirements, health, character, etc.
